My show, Green Thumbs & Dirty Fingers, aims to inspire you in all aspects of gardening. Each fortnight I give suggestions of what to do in either your ornamental, fruit or vegetable gardens, depending on the season, with particular emphasis on our local climate. Green Thumbs & Dirty Fingers caters for everyone from novice to experienced gardeners. At the moment I am looking for a sponsor for my show.
About
Hi, I’m Philippa Foes-Lamb and I am incredibly passionate about everything to do with gardening, from sowing seeds right through to weeding (I particularly love weeding out invasive nasties). I have been in the gardening industry since 1993 and love every moment of it. We’ve lived in the Tasman district since 2004 and I adore our five acres of land – not a day goes by when I’m not thankful for what we are creating here.
I really love my show, Green Thumbs & Dirty Fingers – it lets me share my enthusiasm and knowledge with you, my listeners, and this is really important to me. As gardeners we continue to learn all of our lives and I really feel that gardening is an integral part of a balanced life. A garden provides a special haven from the stresses of the outside world and can give us incredible satisfaction, particularly when it’s time to harvest home-grown vegetables and fruit.
My other passions include my heirloom perennial nursery where I nurture all of my favourite perennials, freelance garden writing, mixed media art (I create including journal covers, decorative magnets, brooches, rings and mirror tiles, to name just a few). I love surrounding myself with beautiful things and enjoy good food, wine, cooking, tennis and badminton. In the near future I am going to begin writing my first book on my passion for gardening.
