Mike is Station Manager at Fresh FM. He’s officially described these days as a radio veteran, having spent nearly 30 years in the industry in various capacities. He started as a journalist and also spent many years as an announcer and senior programmer in the commercial radio world. He describes the Community Access radio model as ‘liberating’ and reckons he has the best job in the country. While administration takes up a big part of his week, keeping his hand in as a broadcaster is very important to him. He loves meeting the wide variety of people ‘doing interesting stuff that matters in our patch’.
